Back in the saddle

June 7, 2010

I suppose no one can truly consider themselves a writer until they’ve written and submitted their work – and perhaps, been rejected. Alas, I can now count myself a member of the field.

My first manuscript, sent back (rather quickly!) for re-working, will be the part-time project for this summer. I was told to pick up the pace at the beginning and add a character flaw to the lead. It’s a bit taxing to keep working on something I had wanted to be done with, but it’s worth it if I can improve the book and resubmit!

In other news, I have started my second regency and a young adult fiction book as well. The young adult novel is coming along well, and I will be eager to send that one out once it’s complete.

Hooray for progress!
